Looking to add some organization to your home but limited on wall space? Then you’ll want to take a look at installing wall-mounted drawers. Mounted drawers are a great way to store small items like socks and underwear without taking up too much precious wall space. You can also use wall-mounted drawers for larger items like backpacks and sports uniforms.

If you’re looking to organize your home and keep clutter off the floor, then you should definitely consider installing wall-mounted drawers. Follow along as we take you through the simple step-by-step process of installing wall-mounted drawers in your home.

Measure First

Before starting the installation process, you’ll want to get sized for your new wall-mounted drawers. You can do this by having a professional installer measure the area where you plan on installing your drawers. If you don’t have an installer handy, then you can use a tape measure to determine the space needed for your new drawers.

Once you have the measurements for your wall-mounted drawer, it’s time to figure out how tall your cabinet will be and what type of hardware is needed. You will need to make sure that there is enough clearance between the edge of the cabinet and the floor so that water doesn’t accumulate in areas where it could cause damage or mold issues.

Install Decorative Hooks

Before installing wall-mounted drawers, you should install decorative hooks. Decorative hooks are also a great way to store scarves or belts because they provide an extra hook for hanging up items. You can choose to organize your closet by color, size, or by season. Just make sure to mark the hook with a piece of tape or a permanent marker so you know where it is.

Next, set up your drywall anchors and screws. You should have an equal number on each side of the wall (eight on each side).

Then, measure from the inside edge of the wood frame to ensure that it will be centered when installed on the wall.

Finally, drill into the drywall with a drywall screwdriver and screw in place.

Install the Frame

To install a wall-mounted drawer, you’ll need to install the frame first. The frame should be installed on a wall stud, and secured with screws or nails. The components of the frame can vary depending on what product you purchase.

The width of the frame’s front panel will depend on how deep your drawer is. A typical depth for a standard-depth drawer is 24 inches; however, it may vary depending on the model.

If you are installing a shallow-depth drawer (which is usually between 12 and 18 inches), then use a 24-inch wide front panel. If you are installing an intermediate-depth drawer (usually between 18 and 24 inches), then use a 36-inch wide front panel. For deep drawers (usually more than 24 inches), use either 46 or 48-inch wide front panels for greater stability.

Add the Liners

First, you need to add a liner to your wall. You can choose from a variety of different types of liners including wood, metal, and plastic. The type of liner you use is up to you but it’s important that the liner be sturdy enough to hold up the weight of the objects that will be stored in the drawers. There are also some things you should keep in mind when selecting a liner like whether or not it will match your decor or if it will make for easy installation.

Next, attach the mounted drawer box onto the wall using screws. A drill is needed for this step as well as a screwdriver and some screws depending on what kind of mounting system your chosen drawer has.

If your drawer has a mounting system attached, make sure you align it with the mounting holes on the back of your chosen drawer before nailing into place. If you have any questions about how to mount your drawer, then consult with an expert installer at your local hardware store who can help guide you through this process.

Install the Drawer Fronts

To start, you’ll need to measure the space between the wall and each drawer. You can then mark the spots where the front of the drawer will sit. Your measurements should be taken from one side of the space to the other.

Next, take a piece of plywood that is about twice as long as the depth of your drawers and cut it down to size. This will be used for mounting your drawers to the wall.

Lastly, attach screws with washers to the back of your drawers and mount them on top of each other so that their fronts are flush. That’s it! Now you have a new way for storing items in your home!

Add the Track and Hardware

First, you’ll need to purchase the track for the drawers. You can find these at any hardware store or online. It’s important that you get track from a reputable source so that it lasts for a long time.

Next, you’ll need to find the hardware that will be needed to mount the drawers on the wall. This includes screws, anchors, and brackets. You can also choose what type of material you want to use for your wall-mounted drawers. For example, if you wanted your drawers to match your existing color scheme, then you could use paint or wallpaper as a primer coat before installing them.

Add the Casters

You want the drawer to be able to move easily. So, you’ll want to use casters. There are different types of casters, and they are available in hardware stores. You can choose between urethane or metal casters.

There will also be a shelf that is attached to the back of the drawer. This shelf is where you can store items like shoes and similar objects. It is important that this shelf is attached securely so it doesn’t fall off the wall when you open or close the drawers.

Enjoy Your Organized Home

With wall-mounted drawers, you can free up space in your home by storing all of your belongings in one convenient place. You can also use it to organize the contents of other cabinets, like the kitchen or bathroom. Wall-mounted drawers are a great way to add extra storage to your home without having to buy additional pieces of furniture or cabinet space.

1: Find a spot for your new wall-mounted drawer

First, you need to find a location for your new wall-mounted drawer. It’s important that you locate the space where you’ll be installing the drawer so that it’s easy to access when needed. Consider using a corner cabinet or wall unit that has an open backside. Make sure there is plenty of room on either side of the cabinet so that the drawer comes out smoothly and easily from both sides. If you have an existing cabinet, just make sure there is enough room on each side of the cabinet for the opening and closing of each side of the drawer.

2: Measure up for your new wall-mounted drawer

Once you have found a suitable location for your new shelf, then it’s time to measure up for where exactly you want it positioned on the walls and what size it should be. You will need measurements in order to determine where exactly you want this new addition placed on either side of your existing cabinets or shelving units. To get these measurements, grab a measuring tape and mark
